Monday Made It #1 - New & Improved Me & Blog :)

So this is my first official post on my new blog! I used to blog a few years ago & I absolutely loved it. However, with life and things going on back then I fell off for a while. I am glad to have come back now with a new & improved blog about my life as a teacher, bartender, & Beachbody coach! :) I am linking up with Tara from 4th Grade Frolics for her Monday Made It. I have continued to follow her even though I was not actively posting blogs & I absolutely LOVE what she posts. I don't currently teach 4th grade anymore but I have mentioned her blog to others. :) Therefore, this blog is my Monday Made It!

Anyhow, after my students left last Wednesday I was really excited to get a little bit of a break from a chaotic end of the year. I was looking forward to working on my house, having at least one movie day... and... go to trainings for the next four days...YES, I said trainings for FOUR days which started the day after the kids left. So we have been in trainings since last Thursday and honestly they weren't that bad. They were very informative and did give me a few things to think about and work on over the summer for the next year with my co-teacher. However, I did also work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night at the bar.  Can you tell I am a busy bee? ;) But during the trainings my coworker Jamie and I had our delicious shakes in the morning to keep us up, energized, and full enough to make it to lunch.

My FAVORITE shake recipe, which Jamie actually gave me, consists of:

4 oz. Water
4 oz. Almond milk (yellow)
1/2 Banana (purple)
Ice
PB Fit (You can find a HUGE container for ONLY $10 at Sam's Club)

As for today, I really needed to go and finish packing up my classroom but I took the day off to go to the chiropractor, start working on this blog, and get in my Day 1 PiYo workout. I am excited to switch it up a little and really work on my core this next month. So stay tuned for ideas in the classroom, recipes, ideas that have helped me with my 21 Day Fix, & all other things that fall into my busy life as a teacher, bartender, and coach!

  1. Welcome back to the world of teacher blogs! I am a relative newbie in this arena, but have been stalking blogs like 4th Grade Frolics and A Teeny Tiny Teacher (she's hilarious!) for years now. Your new blog design is gorgeous!! Good luck with balancing life and a blog!

    1. Thanks! I just added you to follow as well as A Teeny TIny Teacher. It's fun to share ideas but also read stories about all other kinds of things going on in other teachers lives. I am excited to be back in this. I had a blast last time, but it's been a while! Happy Thursday to you! :)

  2. Looking back at your blog I realize you are a kindergarten teacher. Before last year (when I got promoted to second grade), I taught kindergarten for a decade....gosh, that makes me sound old. Anyway, Marsha McGuire over at Differentiated Kindergarten is a fantastic resource! She creates resources for ELA and Math that are differentiated for you. She also has lots of freebies to get you started. She was my #1 good to resource when I taught kindergarten!
    Have a wonderful weekend!
